Sunday, 28th August 2011 - Buenos Aires Half Day City Tour & Milonga Experience
Morning sightseeing tour includes the beautiful parks and gardens of the Recoleta and Palermo neighborhoods, the Colon Theater (one of the world's five most important opera theaters), Mayo Square, the cathedral, traditional Mayo Avenue, Congress Square and many other buildings and palaces of architectural, historical and cultural interest. Continue to San Telmo, the residence of aristocracy until the end of the 19th century. next explore Caminito Street in La Boca, a colorful neighborhood of Italian immigrants. You'll visit the recently revitalized area of Puerto Madero and on a stop at the vibrant San Telmo Fair.
Evening - In recent years tango has experienced a real boom, thanks mainly to the country's visitors and also the new generation of Argentines that have set themselves the task of reclaiming their rich heritage. Visit Milongas circuit, where people of very different ages, origins and social situations dance the most authentic form of Tango (known as Milonga), away from the spotlights of the commercial circuit. Each Milonga has its own working hours, its own dancing style and its own crowd.
